Pink Hygiene has always led the way in the washroom service industry since we started trading; be it in technology and innovation or with our charitable connections and social responsibility practices. We are also always at the top of our game when it comes to compliance and health & safety within our industry.
In addition to our existing sustainability credentials including our zero to landfill policy (with all waste being incinerated) and our ISO 14001 accreditation, we are now delighted to also be awarded Carbon Neutral Status 🎉🎉🎉
Following a complete review and assessment of our organisation’s carbon footprint, we have now offset all of our CO2 emissions and support the Woodland Fund.
The Woodland Fund supports Reforestation, Deforestation, Prevention and Woodland Management Projects, with a strong focus on having a positive impact on the local wildlife, ecology and biodiversity. Examples of the most recently supported projects include preventing deforestation in the Amazon Rainforest, reforestation after wildfires in Australia, as well as woodland planting in the UK. In addition, 10% of our budget is also spent on sustainable projects in Britain, for Britain.
We believe planting trees is one of the most sustainable ways to offset carbon – as forest projects absorb CO2, refract the earth’s heat as well as have a positive impact on wildlife, ecology and biodiversity.
